Description
Using a gestational carrier provides a safe and healthy fertility option for women to have a biological child even when they are unable to carry a child themselves. At HCRM, gestational carriers complete a series of comprehensive medical and psychological evaluations, as well as a uterine assessment to evaluate if they will be a good candidate for carrying a healthy pregnancy.

Some women need donated eggs. Other women, however, their egg quality and
ovulation is fine, but their uterus isn't able to sustain a pregnancy.
Those women need another woman to carry their pregnancy for them, and
that's called a gestational carrier. That is extremely rewarding. They
find their own gestational carriers and bring that woman with them.
And, of course, I screen the intended mother for her egg quality, but then
we screen the gestational carrier to make sure that her uterus would be
able to sustain a pregnancy. These are usually women who have had their
own children. They love being pregnant, and they do it easily. It's not
easy to go through a pregnancy. Even the easiest pregnancies aren't truly
easy, but it's an incredible gift to give.
